How to check the text of a version

The SHA-256 of each version is computed over the file with its text in HTML, encoded in UTF-8, published next to the version under the document name and the date, such as terms-2026-10-27.txt. Download the file and compute its SHA-256: the result must match the one on this page.

  • Linux: sha256sum terms-2026-10-27.txt
  • macOS: shasum -a 256 terms-2026-10-27.txt
  • Windows (PowerShell): Get-FileHash terms-2026-10-27.txt, which shows the result in uppercase
